Technical Support / Re: Trouble with your shipping cost information?
« on: March 18, 2023, 04:11:40 pm »
If you are manually adding the shipping information you could add it to each sold item row, or into the expense tracking section, either way it will factor into the P&L reports.  If you want to see the specific profit per item you would want to do it on the sold item level.

Frequently Asked Questions / Re: Cost of Goods in Profit & Loss Report
« on: March 17, 2023, 04:08:38 pm »
Hi,
If you have them populated into the sold items tab, they should be filling into the P&L reports.
To fill them in to the sold tab, you can pre-fill them into the Product Master tab, and they will transfer to the sold items once the item sells, or you can put the info directly into the sold item tab after you download the sale.
I recommend checking the video tutorials if you are having trouble with that.  Or let me know if you are still having trouble @ support@mycostpro.com

You will want to put this information in the Product Master tab, and when the items sell, it will pull that information into the sold item tab automatically (linked together by either the SKU or the Listing Title).
Let me know if you have any trouble!

Technical Support / Re: Can MyCostPro pull eBay purchases in
« on: March 11, 2023, 09:07:10 pm »
No, it isnt set up to pull items that you purchase on ebay, just the items you sell (also including unsold listings), and your active listing information.

You can manually enter sales from non-ebay sites into MyCostPro.
However, it is important that you add all of the required information for these sales for them to incorporate correctly with the rest of the downloaded data.
The following are the minimum fields that must be manually input for these sales:

-Item/Transaction ID (Unique) - This can be filled in with any value.
Note: This column may be hidden by default.

-Quantity - Fill in with the quantity of this item sold in this transaction.

-Sale Date - Fill in with the date of this sale.

-Month Sold - Fill in with the first day of the month that this item sold. For example if the item sold on "3/20/2022", you would fill in "3/1/2022" (without the quotes).
Note: This column may be hidden by default.

-Sale Price - Fill in with the price that the item sold for.

General Discussion / Re: Discarded or Donated Inventory

You would want to make sure you capture any listing fees (etc) in the Unsold tab.  MyCostPro doesn't account for inventory, just the sales and associated costs and fees, so you have to check with your accountant how they think it should be handled.

Frequently Asked Questions / Re: Returns / Refunds
« on: February 25, 2023, 05:43:21 pm »
Hi,
The "click layout assist" button was replaced with the improved and simplified "Hide 'h' Columns" button which toggles all of the columns with an 'h' label between hidden and unhidden.
Here is an overview video linked to the timestamp where that is discussed:  https://youtu.be/52av5AyjUmg?t=300

If you download a sale before the refund is issued, you can add the refund information by resetting the download duration.
On the account info / settings tab, change the number of days to go back far enough for that sale (up to 90 days), click the 'reset duration' button, and then redownload your sales.

Let me know if you still have any trouble.

Frequently Asked Questions / Re: Ebay Store subscription
« on: February 24, 2023, 04:22:11 pm »
Hi,
Currently you will need to add it manually in the Expense Tracking section.  We do plan on having it pull to the Expense Tracking section automatically, but we havent had time to implement it yet.
So maybe in the next update (hopefully) it will automate it for you.

Hi,
Can you confirm that you first moved the file to its own folder, and completed step 1?  There should now be a file in that folder named "mycostpro_old.xlsm".  If you already have that, please send me a copy of your "old" file and I will try to transfer it on my end at support@mycostpro.com

72
If you have missing sales for items that have already been paid for, or need to update previously downloaded sales (to update refund information, etc), you just need to reset the download duration and click to download your sales again.
-Open MyCostPro and go to the Account Information tab
-Change the number of days to cover the range you want to re-check (up to 90 days)
-Click the 'Reset Duration' button
-Go back to the Sold Items tab and re-run your query

General Discussion / Re: consignment accounting
« on: January 27, 2023, 04:03:10 pm »
Hi,
There are several "extra" columns that may be hidden currently.  If you want to rename any of them "payment status" (etc) to track if the payment has been made would that help?
Or did you have something else in mind?

Technical Support / Re: Current instructions for update?

No problem!  The steps are there in the account info / settings tab.

Basically-
Download the new file, save it in a folder alone with you old file.

Do the steps to acknowledge the "security risk" on the new file, as seen in FAQ question #1 (you dont need to open the new file yet, just right click it):

https://mycostpro.com/faq/

Open the old file, go to account info tab, click STEP 1 button.

Copy the download key to the clipboard.

Close the old file.

Open the new file, put in the download key, go to account info tab, click step 2.  Wait until completion message pops up (after MOTD pops up).
