Hi, There could be different things causing the macros to not run. Here is a walk trough the possible causes:
Case 1: When file is first downloaded (first time use)
Files downloaded from the web, received by email, or pulled off a network share get tagged as external. Open one and you'll see a red notification bar saying macros were stopped because the file's origin isn't trusted, with no button to just allow it.
Fix:
Close the file.
In File Explorer, right-click it and choose Properties.
On the General tab, check the box near the bottom (something like "this file came from another computer").
Click Apply, then OK.
Reopen the file.
If you open files from the same folder often, add that folder as a Trusted Location: File > Options > Trust Center > Trust Center Settings > Trusted Locations.
Case 2: The file isn't blocked, macros are just off
Here the yellow notification bar has a button in it. Click it and macros run.
Excel's macro settings
Excel also has a general setting controlling how it handles macros overall: File > Options > Trust Center > Trust Center Settings > Macro Settings. Four choices:
