Frequently Asked Questions / what about cancellations
« Last post by william_b_noble on December 03, 2023, 09:23:09 pm »
when I cancel a transaction, I don't see any change in the MCP spreadsheet - shouldn't I see the calcualted profit go to zero and the fees refunded by ebay also get zeroed out?   What exactly does MCP do, or what is it supposed to do with a cancelled transaction?

I am running version 20210216.  I will see if there is a newer version, I haven't seen an announcement for a newer version yet, and that version number is newer than the lastest you have in the revision history - is there a newer vision that I am missing?

William,
It sets it to the "last download point" (which will be 1 at first), but as time goes on it increases to check from the last downloaded time.  Are you updated to the latest version?  If you contact me at support@mycostpro.com I can try to look further into this with you.

every time I download sold items to update the sold item list, it tells me there are no sales until I increase the days to DL to 2 or 3.  Unfortunately I have to do that every time because MCP sets the days back to one after the first download.  1 just plain does not work, there must be a way to set it to 2 minimusm but with the spreadsheet locked, of course only the developer can do that.

Please do that

Feature Requests / The future of MyCostPro updates

Please vote about if future updates should leverage Office 365 enhancements to improve speed and usability.  On the downside, users of older versions of excel would not receive as regular of updates, because updates would include features they do not have access to.

General Discussion / 2024 Suggestions
« Last post by Fireworks on November 16, 2023, 01:49:53 pm »
I really like the spreadsheet and I have now begun to benefit with the multi year data being easily available.

Would it be possible to create a graph/image that shows multiple years or months from previous years. In much the way you have the analysis set up - could one look at November for example - going back 3 years - same for total year.

Also, would it be possible to create information tied to sales such as Avg Selling Price (  1 day / 7 day/ 30 day/ 1 year) ?

as well as average net Income ( 1 day /7 day/30 day/1 year).

And while I am giving you work to do - would it be possible to allow for an exchange rate to be added into the input .  Eg input $10.00 converts to $10.00 * exchange rate.  I could really use this on Shipping and cost of goods.

Thanks very much

Looking forward to 2024 and the new version.

It would GREAT if there was some sort of inventory management based on sales.  For example, if there was a quantity field on the Product Detail Page and if that SKU has a sale on eBay, it reduces the quantity.

It sounds like you already reset your download duration to 90 days and you are still missing your sales.  However, this is the most likely solution, if you can try this step again:  type in 90, be sure to hit the 'reset duration' button, and then re download your sales.
If you still have any trouble please let me know at support@mycostpro.com and I can look into it further for you.

Technical Support / August Sales Not Importing
« Last post by RustyMart on October 12, 2023, 03:13:46 pm »
Have been using mycostpro for over a year and this is the first issue I've had importing sold products. I have all of July, September and am up to date in October. I only have August 1 and 2 showing up and not the rest of the month. I have multiple sales everyday and have made sure the setting reflect pulling in 90 days of sales. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
