when I cancel a transaction, I don't see any change in the MCP spreadsheet - shouldn't I see the calcualted profit go to zero and the fees refunded by ebay also get zeroed out?   What exactly does MCP do, or what is it supposed to do with a cancelled transaction?

I am running version 20210216.  I will see if there is a newer version, I haven't seen an announcement for a newer version yet, and that version number is newer than the lastest you have in the revision history - is there a newer vision that I am missing?

every time I download sold items to update the sold item list, it tells me there are no sales until I increase the days to DL to 2 or 3.  Unfortunately I have to do that every time because MCP sets the days back to one after the first download.  1 just plain does not work, there must be a way to set it to 2 minimusm but with the spreadsheet locked, of course only the developer can do that.

I would very much like to set the number of days to DL that the program defaults to a value greater than 1, generally when set to 1 it never downloads anything, so I have to set it to 2 or 3 and then all is good - it would be trivial to allow a way to save a value as the new "return to this value after the next DL"

I dont' know about you, but most of what I buy on ebay (by dollar amount, for sure) are items to support ebay sales - including repair parts, business supplies like packages and paper and tape, and so on.  It would save me a bunch of manual entry to have ebay purchase show up in expenses.  If they are not business expenses then, like Go-Daddy, there can be a category called "personal" that doesn't get counted in the expense rollup.

I'll start a poll on this.

it would be very helpful to have non-ebay sales, particularly from Paypal brought in.  And to automatically correlate ebay expenses with Paypal expenses (when ebay charges shipping to paypal, for example)

can you please consider putting a version number into the program? the home page would be a logical place for it.  There is no way (that I have found, at least) to tell whether the version I am running is or is not the lastest.  I would recommend a major/minor numbering system - major versions would include important new features, minor versions would be bug fixes or minor improvements for major versions.

my suggestion for mileage is a simple form: Date/Miles/Purpose  Automatically download the federally allowed mileage charge and multiply miles by allowed $/mile to get a total cost for the trip, and just include it as an expense category.

this is how most businesses do it (well, in my office I have to enter a charge number also, but is irrelevant here)

why do I have to download sold items, active items, un sold list individually - that just is more annoying work - why in the world would I not want to update all of these things since one changes the other, this makes no sense to me at all - how about a "update all data" or "download all" or something

Technical Support / broken import tool

I downloaded and installed the 1/3/2023 version.  I didn't see the import tool so after spending an hour or so pasting data into the new version from the old, and discovering I just got junk for a result, I deleted the file, copied it again and discovered the import tool.  I clicked button one on the old sheet whcih renamed it to _old.xlsm, clicked button 2 on the new version placed into the same folder and get VB run-time error 91, object variable or with block not set.  Debug is disabled and the code is password protected, or I'd tell you where the code crashes.

so, I will not use the new version until there is some kind of fix for this condition.  so now I'm annoyed.  please advise.

when I search eabay for MyCostPro I find it offered by a seller named "drsoy" with three day delivery.  That stikes me as exceedinly odd.  Is that your authentic ebay ID?  I like the idea of buyng from ebay so the purchase shows up as an expense, but I don't see here that the ebay purchse would be from drsoy.  can you confirm?

I decided to buy from the web page to reduce risk, can you confirm that guerillawarfarellc is the billing address you use?  that's what paypal paid.

I too am considering this program to replace EAT and also Go-Daddy.  The latter met my needs, EAT was very marginal at best

will there be a import script for the GoDaddy saved information? how about EAT?  I also tried QuickBooks and found it unmanagable with multiple duplicate entries, both EAT and GoDaddy required more hours to manage than it would take me to extract the required tax data manually. 

in my case, I sell surplus and estate items as a hobby - the volume is enough that I have to file tax returns, but the concept of inventory when every item is unique just doesn't make sense, except as a way to help me to remember where I stored something while waiting for it to sell - that I do by just writing the info into the auction listing itself.  But I do occasionally sell items directly to buyers through paypal, and I pay business expenses through paypal.

So, what matters to me is import scripts, and paypal integration 

do you have plans for either?
